Corporations are operating in an increasingly competitive and global environment, and it is crucial for them to make sure that their CEOs, executives, leadership teams, and managers are prepared to handle the potential challenges that such a business environment brings. Corporations and businesses hire Executive Coaches for many reasons including enhancing strategic thinking, interpersonal communication skills, conflict resolution, career development/transition, effective team building, performance management, etc. Executive Coaches work with senior executives and assist them in meeting these personal and business goals. To assist with this process, corporations are increasingly looking at either training someone in-house as an Executive Coach or bringing in Executive Coaches from outside to work with company leadership. Receiving coach training certification is one of the best ways to attract more clients and grow your online coaching practice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions About Coaching Certification Programs
Let us help you obtain an executive coach certification by answering some FAQs about the executive coaching program:
What is an executive coaching certificate?
An executive coaching certificate extends a life coach’s skills in assisting, guiding, and training senior executives to meet certain personal and organizational goals that allow them to successfully manage their leadership roles. Having an executive coach certification means that you’re effectively equipped to coach executives through relevant core competencies such as strategic thinking, conflict resolution, team building, performance management, communication, etc. Coaching certification will help to develop the skills and expertise to help your clients.
How do you become a professional executive coach?
To become a professional executive coach, you must first enroll in the right certified coach training program. Symbiosis Coaching offers a 12-week Certified Executive Coach program as a standalone program. You can also combine this program with the core Certified Life Coach program and/or the Certified Organizational Development Coach program for a more comprehensive dual-certification or triple-certification.
An added benefit of combining these programs is that you earn enough training hours to be eligible to earn an ACC or PCC credential through the International Coach Federation (ICF), the world’s most recognized and respected coaching program certification and accreditation body.
How do I become an ICF executive coach?
Becoming an executive coach with an ICF certification is a rigorous process that requires five components: education, experience, mentor coaching, performance evaluation, and an exam. With Symbiosis Coaching, you can achieve all of these by enrolling in an ICF-backed program taught by professional ICF-certified coaches. With rigorous studies and training, you can successfully complete the executive coaching programs.
Education
You must complete coach-specific education accredited by the ICF, such as Symbiosis Coaching’s programs.
Experience
You must log a certain amount of hours of coaching experience (it varies depending on the certificate you’re aiming for).
Mentor Coaching
You must complete a minimum number of hours of mentor coaching with an ICF-credentialed professional to become a certified leadership coach. Coaching training programs often provide students with coaching opportunities.
Performance Evaluation
You must pass a performance evaluation that assesses your coaching skills against the standards of the ICF before receiving your executive coaching certification.
Exam
You must pass a written exam that proves you understand and can apply the standards of ICF and its core competencies and code of ethics when coaching your students.
What do certified executive coaches earn?
In general, executive coaches earn more than life, health, wellness, or spiritual coaches. On average, they earn $500 per coaching session, with the lowest-paid professionals still commanding a modest $200 per hour. This comes out to around $100,000 to $150,000 a year. Engagements of executive coaches are often long-term, from three to twelve months; some coaches are even on retainer at the business. Online executive coaches can also coach clients in the United States along with other countries that speak English, which increases the number of clients they can help.
How much does it cost to become a certified executive coach?
Most of the costs of becoming an executive coach go to education programs. Symbiosis Coaching offers an online executive coach certification for a fraction of the price of other programs. We have one-time SuperSaver options, as well as EasyPay plans available.
Are there any additional costs for the executive coaching certification?
No, there are no additional costs beyond the enrollment fee listed here.
